A new boutique, Emerald Grace Boutique has opened at Sunset Beach! Emerald Grace Boutique is located on the mainland in the Village at Sunset Beach Shopping Center right next door to Pelican Bookstore.
The chic boutique offers everything from clothing, to fun gifts with snappy beach puns, trendy accessories, unique gifts, décor, and so much more! This shop is the place where you can find a gift for any woman you know and probably half a dozen for yourself while you look!
The owner Emmy Grace describes her store as, “A fun relaxed place where you can find the perfect outfit and accessories for whatever the occasion may be and maybe a fun gift for your mom or sister while you’re at it.”
The shop itself is a little bit rustic, a little beachy, and overall very chic, it’s exactly what Sunset Beach needs. It’s a perfect addition to the shopping center, where you can browse next door for books at Pelican Bookstore, walk down a few shops and grab coffee and lunch at Backstreet Café.
Emerald Grace Boutique will carry everything a woman needs to put together a perfect outfit, including handbags, jewelry, tops, and dresses. Along with that, they will offer a wide assortment of home goods including wall decor and other gift-able items. Basically, if it’s cute, it’s probably in this store!
The boutique is named after Emmy herself. Emerald, her full name, but she’s gone by Emmy for as long as she can remember. She’s from” the smallest town you can imagine” in the foothills of North Carolina. Emmy grew up coming to Sunset Beach with my family and says that it’s one of her favorite places on earth. When she thought about where the next step of her life was going to take her, she knew Sunset had to be the place.
Emmy is friendly and reminds you of your best friend, the one that you want to take shopping with you. She says, “I love shopping. I love clothes. On top of it all, I love interacting with people. That really pushed me to follow my dream of creating a place in this world where everyone is welcome and can find exactly what they’re looking for along with things they never even knew they needed.”
While this is her first time owning a store of her own, she has had plenty of retail experience (and a lot of shopping experience!) She’s worked in a photography studio, a flower shop, and even as a hairstylist. What she figured out from all of these? She loves meeting and talking to people and sharing her passion for clothing, the beach, and a good glass of wine.
Emmy says, “Some of my favorite things include catching up with friends over a glass of wine, relaxing on the beach, attending any concert I can make it to and enjoying really good Italian food. If we have any of those things in common, then we could be friends. In fact, we should be friends, so come by and say hi if you get the chance.”
Shopping shouldn’t be a chore, it should be a fun experience and Emmy Grace wants to make it an experience all of her customers can share in. Visit Emerald Grace Boutique for fun, unique shopping at this chic Sunset Beach shop!
